Lots o' Lobsters

For months now I've had parcels filled with Lobsters arriving at my suburban Melbourne home. They pile up in the letterbox and overflow on the verandah. My housemate thinks I've gone bonkers, and in her defence, I have a little. I've been scouring the internet for all things lobster related for a book I'm creating and releasing early in 2018.

After months of curating and collecting I was finally able to get out to my very talented photographer and stylist friend - Tiarne. (You can see her website here and her delish instagram here.)  She is fabulous and quirky and so so talented. Her photos have life and colour and a delicate beauty about them. I was so excited to collaborate with her for this book and she did not disappoint!

We photographed over 35 lobster objects the other day and man was it weird! Her family milled about in the kitchen while we postulated about weather the lobster plush toy would work well next to the english postcard depicting a 'Lobster Pot' restaurant.

We had such a fun time and I can't wait to share the photos we got with you! I'm thinking I may put a few up on instagram over the next few days - so keep your eyes peeled.

I'm so excited to see this book in the flesh - more on that shortly...
